THIS ONE IS GOING TO TAKE A "MIRACLE"...
Fortunately for us, the seller was 100% wonderful (Hi Darlene!) and promptly refunded all monies paid. Gary invested said refund in Gorilla Glue stock and is pictured below discussing the repairs already made with his pal, Boner:

Here's a close up of the case after many hours spent just putting and gluing the fragments back in place:
I'll post progress reports so check back daily!

ANOTHER CROSLEY!!!
The very next day after the Airline "Miracle" was delivered...

Struck again!!!
Another
purchase shipped via Priority Mail from a whopping 100 miles away.
This is a photo from the listing:

1953 Crosley "Dashboard" Model #E-15
Described as having no cracks or breaks, just some chips in the paint.
(I hated the color, but liked the style... I bid on this one.)

Here's what the USPS delivered via Priority Mail:

This radio was cleverly shipped in a Huggies Diapers carton!
You know, the kind if carton designed to hold light weight, air-filled, paper products...
Like disposable DIAPERS?
And, golly-gee, the radio fit inside the Huggies box just perfectly - almost!
In fact, it only had about 1-1/2 inches of room on all six (6) sides to bounce around in!
Who needs bubble wrap and/or packing peanuts with a fit like that?!!!

Well, Gary's pieced "Humpty Dumpty" back together again:

AND "Humpty's" primed/ready for paint:

Stay tuned... It shouldn't be too long now!!!
